story. when i did that field work in cyprus many years agao, i was sharing a village house with my colleague simon from uk for a little while. simon had bought a little plastic cherub hanging from a spiral spring in the "one million items" store in nicosia (i still have things from that miraculous store). well that cherub received brown stains made from chocolate at its bottom part and received a diaper made from a paper handkerchief, which of course did not hide ALL of the stains. that cherub was on display in one of the windows of our house, which was regarded as pretty tasteless by the villagers. i can never ever see a cherub without remembering that scene
no no no - no one around who would regret that more than me. it was the time when we still had fun and could not imagine that remembering that part would be important ....
